Triskel Tavern opened in September 1994 and quickly became a favourite haunt for a mixed spanish and international clientele.
Situated in the popular Malasaña neighbourhood, famous for 'La Movida' of the 1980s, and still the best area for night owls in Madrid. More commonly known by the locals as 'The Triskel' it's the place to meet old friends and to make new ones.
The Main Bar at Triskel has five imported beers on tap, draught cider, and bottled beers. Along with the usual spirit selection there are a number of Scottish malt and Irish blended Whiskies. Decorated in a rustic, celtic style, with light wood, soft lighting and great music it is both cosy and happening.
Food is served at the weekend and a selection of pies and pasties in the evening. Not forgetting Pilar's tortilla, probably the best you’ll get in Madrid.
A trip downstairs takes you to the aptly named 'La Caverna'. An authentic cavern with arched ceilings and exposed brick walls. Evidence of its former use, to cure spanish hams, can still be seen in the metal hooks on the walls and ceiling.
There is a small stage for live music, weekly jam sessions, quiz nights and a big screen t.v to show live sport.
'La Caverna' can be reserved for private parties with a personalised sound system, to play your own chioce of music and private bar.
