The Society for Experimental Biology aims to promote, and increase the influence of Experimental Biology within the scientific community and Society.

In pursuit of its aims the Society for Experimental Biology’s activities include:

* the organisation and sponsorship of experimental biology conferences, both independently and in collaboration with other life science societies;
* the publication and dissemination of a range of scientific literature;
* education, careers and policy work;
* the administration of travel grants for young researchers;
* offering membership to experimental biology researchers in academia and industry working at post-graduate level and above.
