Simpang Yong Tau Foo
Simpang Yong Tau Foo was setup in 2000 at the "Bedok Market Place" located at the end of Bedok Road which is a popular place for food in the Eastern part of Singapore.
The place was popularly referred to as "Simpang Bedok" by the residents there and thus the name "Simpang Yong Tau Foo".
Striving to be different from other Yong Tau Foo dishes and the desire to offer restuarant quality food at hawker center prices, Ah Wah, the stall owner gathered his regulars to taste out the new invented dishes. Eventually 4 hugely popular dishes were invented.
Customers kept coming for his dishes of "Dried Chilli Sauce Yong Tau Foo", "Crispy Pig Leg", "Smoked Duck" and "Tau Foo Salad". The Crispy Pig Leg is a "must ta pao" item during festive seasons and special occassion among the stall regulars.
Current Location:
After operating for more than 10 years at Bedok Hawker Center and a coffeeshop in Bedok Ave 3 Blk 218, the stall is now relocated to 301 Changi Road Singapore 419779
Regulars have moved with the stall and the stall continues to attract food critics and reviews.
