If you work in the area of Bristol and Jamboree at the 73, you have probably stopped by our restaurant on your lunch hour. Just steps away from work, you can stop by for lunch meetings or pick up treats for those much needed Monday mornings.

Rich, privately roasted coffees and espresso. Tempting muffins, home-made croissants and signature cinnamon twists baked fresh every day from our own recipes. We first opened our doors on Balboa Island in 1988, waking before dawn every morning to bake our pastries and breads completely from scratch. It didn't take long for Pain du Monde – or PDM, as the locals call it – to attract a loyal following among both neighborhood residents and frequent visitors.

Though we’re no longer on Balboa Island, PDM Bakery & Café now has four cafes from Dana Point to Newport Beach, and more on the way. Each has its own distinctive décor and personality, reflecting the local flavor of the area. And, of course, each serves up the rich, privately roasted global coffees, sinfully delicious pastries, family-recipe meals and welcoming ambiance our customers count on.
