Once In A Blue Moon is a travelling cafe built by the people of festivals around the UK.
We aim to have a space which can provide free food, drinks, music and more to people who are willing to exchange something of theirs.
We are a group of friends who have been going to festivals for the past 10 years and decided we’d like to finally take part and bring something of our own to the scene. We have no money and little resources but we wanted to get started right away and in June of 2013 we have started Once in a Blue Moon Cafe.
We are a nomadic cafe and we are hoping to collect and find things as we go along, building our cafe over time. We will trade our chai, our food and our skills for something that you no longer need or want, or for a skill or gift that you have. We aim to build our cafe from old chairs, cushions, books, artwork, instruments, cups, stories, songs and more from generous people along the way. We believe the cafe will grow organically as we continue our nomadic journey in the UK festival scene.
