Located on the outside of Lau Pa Sat facing Robinson Road, Maguroya is Japanese for "house of tuna" ("maguro" = tuna and "ya" = house). We aim to bring the fun, reasonably priced but high quality Tsukiji sushi experience to Singapore!
Known in Tokyo as "Fishboy," owner Alistair Douglas is an Australian who spent years in the Tsukiji fish market in Tokyo and the Australian fisheries. A bit of a tuna nerd, he is determined to bring the experience of fun, reasonably priced but high quality sushi joints you can find in Tsukiji to Singapore -- while also trying to educate the consumer about fish and where it is from!
