Authentic "Home Food" away from Home
Authentic West African Cuisine in the heart of East NY. Festac Grill has been servicing Africans in New York and those who come from far and near since October 2007. It is named after a Lagos zone famous for a 1977 arts festival which is now a wealthy neighborhood. The prim interior features a pair of waist-high vases covered with ceramic flowers, looking like they were smuggled out of Versailles. Above the wood-paneled wainscoting, the walls are painted the color of the reddish dirt that blows ceaselessly across West Africa. The staff includes owner and chef, Abiodun Imasuen, her amazing daughter, Osa Imasuen who serves as the general manager and a host of pleasant and welcoming servers.
