Calyer comes from the team behind Anella, St. Vitus and Jimmy’s Diner in Brooklyn. If Anella and St. Vitus had an offspring, this is its wayward child. It sits on the south end of Franklin St., at the crossroads of Williamsburg and Greenpoint.
The menu features takes on regional Classic American Dishes using French technique. Chef Nathan Foot’s philosophy fits right in the Brooklyn community. He is dedicated to sourcing the freshest ingredients and practicing sustainability. Calyer also encourages local production by collaborating with neighbors, such as Brooklyn Grange and Bedford Cheese Shop. The outcome is a vegetable driven menu, changing with the seasons and market’s offerings.
The philosophy behind Calyer is all about creating good food and having fun with it, and this is the message we want to convey though our menu, our service and our environment.
